Sweethearts Darts Februrary 14th, 2026
❤️🎯 WHAT A DAY AT LEGION 85/90! 🎯❤️
Our Sweethearts Darts tournament was nothing short of INCREDIBLE!
50 TEAMS!!! 🙌
Let that sink in… FIFTY teams coming together in competition, camaraderie, laughter, and love for our Legion.
From morning to night, the hall was alive with energy — smiles everywhere, friendly rivalries at the boards, cheering, laughter, and the kind of atmosphere that reminds us exactly why Legion 85/90 continues to grow and thrive.
This wasn’t just a dart tournament.
It was community.
It was passion.
It was pride.
It was LOVE for our Legion and one another. ❤️
A massive thank you to Sandi and Tammy for the amazing spaghetti dinner — it was absolutely delicious and a huge hit! 🍝👏
And to our incredible kitchen volunteers, Bruce & Gary for the wonderful (and very popular!) grilled cheese, hot dogs, fried rice and chef creativity that kept everyone fueled and happy throughout the day.
To our bartenders, our Executive, and every single volunteer who stepped up — you are second to none. Your dedication, teamwork, and heart are the reason this Branch continues to move forward.
This is why we’re doing so well.
This is why our events are packed.
This is why our momentum keeps building.
It’s the love of our members.
It’s the passion of our staff.
It’s the commitment of our Executive.
It’s the tireless work of our volunteers.
Together, we are building something special at Legion 85/90.
Up, up, and up we go. ❤️🎯🍻

Montreal Highlanders Robbie Burns Night
THANK YOU, MONTREAL HIGHLANDERS! 🥃🏴
A huge and heartfelt thank you to the Montreal Highlanders for hosting an absolutely amazing and beautiful 2nd Annual Robbie Burns Night on January 31st, 2026 at the Royal Canadian Legion Lachine Branch 85/90.
Seeing the Legion completely packed, full of life, laughter, tradition, and community spirit was truly something special. The support shown for this night — from members, supporters, and friends — was incredible and deeply appreciated.
From the fantastic roast beef dinner, to the haggis special, and the beautiful bagpiping, drums, and traditional music performed by the Montreal Highlanders, the entire evening was electric. The sound of the pipes and drums filling the Legion created a powerful and unforgettable atmosphere that truly honoured Scottish tradition.
Nights like this remind us exactly what the Legion is meant to be: a place where history, culture, friendship, and community come together.
Thank you again to the Montreal Highlanders — and to all our members, supporters, and friends — for making this night such a success.
Up, up, and up — the momentum continues!

Pull Tabs, Memberships & What’s Coming Next
🎟️ Pull Tabs at the Branch – Why It Matters
You may have noticed that Pull Tabs are now available at the branch. Here’s the important part: the use of gaming revenue was voted on and approved by the membership at an Executive level, with one clear, transparent goal.
🎯 The goal:
All funds generated from Pull Tabs and gaming will be reinvested directly back into the branch — specifically to redo the flooring and upgrade the Membership Lounge.
This isn’t about profit for profit’s sake. It’s about:
- Improving the space for members
- Making the lounge more comfortable, modern, and welcoming
- Investing in long-term improvements that benefit everyone
Every Pull Tab played helps move us closer to a better Membership Lounge and new flooring you can actually see, walk on, and enjoy.
Thank you for supporting the vision, for voting, and for helping us keep improving our branch — together. 💪🍻

📅 What’s Next
Don’t forget to check our Events page for lots of new upcoming events, meals, and activities — there’s always something happening at the Lachine Legion!
✨ A New Year. Small Changes. Big Heart. ✨
As we step into this new year, we want our members to know something important: progress doesn’t always arrive with loud announcements or massive renovations. Sometimes, it starts quietly — with the smallest details.
Something as simple as new curtains may seem minor, but it represents something much bigger:
👉 Care
👉 Pride
👉 Commitment
👉 Momentum
Every improvement, no matter how small, is done with love for our beautiful Legion and respect for the members, veterans, and community who call it home. These little changes are signs of bigger things to come — thoughtful upgrades, continued growth, and a Legion that keeps moving forward together.
✨ This year will bring more improvements, more connection, and more reasons to be proud.
Thank you for believing in the journey, supporting the vision, and being part of something that keeps getting better — step by step, curtain by curtain.
Here’s to an exciting year ahead. ❤️
We’re just getting started.

THANK YOU – FROM THE HEART OF LACHINE LEGION 85/90
To our incredible members, guests, friends, and supporters — thank you.
Yesterday’s President’s Levy on New Year’s Day was nothing short of extraordinary. The record attendance, the overwhelming positivity, and the genuine warmth in the room reminded us exactly why this Legion is thriving again.
The food was amazing, the donations were generous, and most importantly, the stories, encouragement, laughter, and words of support shared throughout the day lifted every single one of us. You didn’t just show up — you showed belief. Belief in this Legion. Belief in its direction. Belief in what we’re building together.
2025 was a year of change, growth, hard work, and momentum — and yesterday proved that those changes are being felt, appreciated, and supported by the people who matter most: YOU.
On behalf of the Executive of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 85/90, thank you for standing with us, for trusting the process, and for helping shape a Legion that is once again vibrant, welcoming, and full of life.
And to be clear —
You haven’t seen anything yet.
If you felt the energy yesterday, stick around for 2026.
The best chapters are still being written — together.
